Perfect in every way

I wish that I could have given this lightsaber five stars. In most ways, it is beyond my expectations. It is by far the nicest lightsaber that I now own. The proffie board is amazing, but the unvented pommel area really muffles the sound. My only real problem with this lightsaber is the rubber grip pieces. They are not all the same length, some are cut uneven, and it bugs the hell out of me. For the money, and the attention to detail on everything else on this lightsaber, the cheapest pieces were skimped on. Like I said, I wish that I could give this lightsaber five stars, but the differences in the grip length are far too noticeable. I’m sure that I will buy another lightsaber in the future.

As a 14 year old fan of Star Wars since its release on May 25, 1977 I dreamed of one day having the same lightsaber handed down to Luke SkyWalker by Ben Kenobi.

I couldn’t afford the first Master Replicas props and soon college, jobs and family became priorities. Last year I purchased the 89 Sabers “Mace Windu” with the Kyber crystal and after seeing the quality of the build was brought back to the one lightsaber that started it all.

Now 47 years later after doing research on many versions I own that lightsaber! The build on this is simply amazing! Designed around the Graphlex it has the weight and feel you would expect. The working latch and D-ring make it feel even more authentic. Just being able to hold this brings back so many fond memories.

This is my 2nd 89saber from CC and I couldnt be happier with it. As always Carl's customer service was on point & I plan to get the 89 Vader ep4 next from CC this summer to complete my ANH collection

So, the build quality and appearance of this thing are pretty perfect. It feels great in your hands (perfect weight). However, the fonts installed are pretty bad and now I’m going to have to learn to program this thing in order to get it to be what I want it to be. (I know Proffie’s require that commitment to be able to customize them, I just assumed that the fonts they came with would be awesome and I’d be fine with them. They really aren’t.) The other bummer is that the D Ring is installed in a way that blocks the vents/holes on the bottom of the saber so the sound is SUPER muffled. (If there’s any noise in the room, I can’t hear the saber almost at all.) I took the D Ring off which uncovered the holes and solved the problem (sounds great!), but I shouldn’t have to do that. The D Ring is part of the aesthetic. While these aren’t “end of the world” kinds of problems, I expected more for something I paid over $500 for.

Delivered missing a stand (when it is advertised to include one) and a blade plug broken in half. The owner said will ship another plug but it has been 6 months without anything.

Yeah the lightsaber is great and anything in terms of quality, but they are reselling it from 89sabers anyway. Overall, I love the lightsaber, which is 89sabers, but the experience, buying at ccsabers, is terrible.

Whilst the quality of the sabre is the best I have ever seen and/or experienced, what truly impressed me, more than anything, was the outstanding, exemplary Customer Service of CCSabers! Communication with the wonderful shoppe owner, Mister Carl, was also facilitated brilliantly as well; he answered all my questions via email in a prompt and diligent manner. Plus, the sabre shipped super fast—8 days to arrive at my door!

I want to preface this by saying that the shop owner is fantastic and responsive. The saber was in perfect condition and everything was included. My only gripe is with the 89 sabers portion of it. This is no fault of CC sabers, but the 89 sabers installs are not the greatest. Luckily, I have a background in software engineering so reprogramming it wasn't hard. Just keep in mind you're going to have to tinker with this saber if you want to get the best out of it. There's plenty of resources out there to figure it out.

The saber is awesome, has the sound I want on it and it’s super well balanced, been handling it about a week now and I just love it, had to fix the blade plug, but other than that, perfect!
