Having never previously owned a lightsaber other than 100% plastic handle play toys, I am satisfied with this saber. It was almost everything I expected. The saber is well constructed, the finish is clean, and all was well packaged. The only thing I wasn't completely expecting was the way the hole-pattern handle felt. Yes, it is comfortable enough, but each hole has a slight bite, like a slight hard edge kind of feel on your hands when gripping it. Let me be clear, it is not uncomfortable, and you don't feel a "hot spot" when wielding the saber. However, from the pictures and what I had in my mind, I was expecting a smoother feel to the holes. Other than that, the SN4 pixel saber I ordered hit all the right marks for me. The only reason for my overall rating of 4/5 stars (I'd give 4.5 if I could) is the feel of the handle due to the way the holes are cut out (as described above) and the cost. The price of this saber is kind of in an odd spot. It's not quite as expensive as the higher end replicas, but it's also more expensive than the lowest tier offering. However, the price difference to get up to the replica line isn't that much more -- it might make more sense to save up to get the replica models if you can.
Scoring breakdown:
Hilt: 4/5
SN4 pixel: 5/5 (I have no reference for how the GoldenHarvest or Proffie would compare; I do like the Bluetooth connection to the Android app though)
CC Sabers service: 5/5 (responsive to questions, helped provide support, reputable vendor)
Would I purchase this saber again? If it was priced lower, absolutely yes. Priced as it is, I should've saved up to get a higher level hilt. As a first saber though, I have no regrets. Be warned though, buying into such a saber may serve as a gateway into an expensive hobby, as I'm already feeling the itch to save up for an 89sabers model to see how an even nicer one would be like.
